Original Rolex 'No Lume' Dial | Original Folded Bracelet | Bracelet Code 6251H | Clasp Code 4.72 | End Links 55 | Open 6 & 9 Date Wheel
Rolex introduced the original Datejust in 1945 to celebrate the company's 40th anniversary. Due to the various case sizes and materials, the Datejust has been ingrained in Rolex's history and remains incredibly popular for 75 years.
This Datejust is made of a combination of 18k White Gold and stainless steel and is fitted with a Jubilee bracelet. This pristine 1601 is equipped with an original 'No Lume' Pie-Pan Dial. In addition, the Datejust is equipped with an Open 6 & 9 Date Wheel.
This 1601 reference features a Silver dial with a slight sunburst effect and unusual 'No Lume' Dial. These 'No Lume' dials were specifically produced for the Japanese Market, since Japan didn't allow the use of Tritium. The indexes and hands are made of the White Gold without the use of Tritium, given it a more clean look. Consequently, a 'No Lume' dial is extremely desirable for watch collectors.
The production year of this Datejust is 1972. Furthermore, the watch has been serviced by our watchmaker, and therefore it comes with one year of Steiner warranty.
